Kara

Kara graduated as an Occupational Therapist in 2005 and has extensive experience across rehabilitation, acute care and sub-acute services throughout the Illawarra region. She developed a special interest in hand therapy and worked at the Sydney Hospital Hand Unit before returning to Wollongong Hospital, where she continued to build her expertise as part of the hand therapy team.

Kara has a particular interest in trauma and upper limb rehabilitation and enjoys helping patients regain function, confidence and independence following injury. She is passionate about providing education, reassurance and practical support throughout the recovery process and values the opportunity to guide patients through every stage of their rehabilitation journey.

Outside of work, Kara enjoys spending time with her family, embracing farm life and making the most of outdoor adventures.
